Pursuant to the bill (Reg. No. 3558), part 1 of article 137 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Inadequate Implementation of the Obligations regarding the Health and Life Protection of a Child" enhances responsibility for the committed crime, envisaging confinement for up to four years or imprisonment for the period of five years.
Article 167 "On Guardian Rights Abuse" also enhances responsibility for the "abuse of custody to the detriment of a child in ward (occupation of the living area, property use, etc.)", envisaging confinement for up to three years or imprisonment for the period of three years with the deprivation of the right to occupy certain offices.
